The Hills Christian Community School (HILLS) is a co-educational, non-denominational Christian School, for Reception to Year 12 students. Our ELC – Year 12 Campus is situated on picturesque grounds at Verdun, which is only minutes away from the South-Eastern Freeway and 5 minutes from Hahndorf.

Early Learning Centre Assistant Director
- Early Learning Centre (ELC) Assistant Director
- Hours: 30 hours per week over 44 weeks per annum – 0.67 FTE
- Opportunity to work additional hours (Cert 3 or Diploma qualified)
- As this is a new role within our ELC, it is a 1 year contract position with a view to transition to permanency following a successful review of the role and candidate

HILLS is seeking a dedicated ELC Assistant Director to support the daily operations of our Early Learning Centre. This role ensures high-quality early childhood education by overseeing administration, compliance, financial management, and staff coordination, aligning with HILLS’ mission and values.
The Assistant Director maintains a welcoming, professional environment, ensures regulatory adherence, and supports the ELC Director in delivering excellence. Leadership, organisational skills, and a commitment to a safe, nurturing, and enriching space for children, families, and staff are essential.

- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) is favourable. Willingness to work towards Certificate III in ECEC will be considered with strong evidence of administrative skills

- Current Driver’s Licence

Early Learning Centre Teacher
Role Purpose
HILLS is seeking a dedicated, dynamic, strategic, and visionary teacher to lead our ELC room. Reporting to the ELC Director / Educational Leader, the teacher is pivotal in driving quality learning and care. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing high-quality learning opportunities, aligning with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the center’s philosophy, drawing on nature pedagogy, and Reggio principles. This role requires a highly skilled educator who can lead a team, inspire best practices, and build strong partnerships with children, families, and the wider community.

Mid Year Reception Teacher
- Full Time Temporary Teaching Position for 2 Terms
- Commencing Term 3 2025 (with some additional transition days in Term 2).
Role Purpose
The Mid-Year Reception educator will join a collaborative and thriving teaching team to create engaging and purposeful learning adventures for children. They will confidently meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of students within the Primary years at HILLS. While working in a collaborative planning and teaching team, Primary Educators will guide and implement a tailored scope and sequence of learning which considers the unique requirements of students’ age and stage of development. Through a restorative approach to behaviour management, educators will develop intentional relationships with all students for the benefit of their learning and growth, while establishing and maintaining ongoing connection with the parent community.
